Greetings and welcome to MORE! It’s a pleasure to be meeting you! My name is Aisha and I am a former biology major with a passion for animals, creativity, learning, and sharing! I went to El Camino Community College and am currently holding an A.A. Degree in English,  graduating with Honors and a GPA of 4.5. I am also a former member of the Dean’s List, the Honors Transfer Program and of AGS (Statewide honors program). I have 5 years of experience in the program “Homework Helper” in the Los Angeles County Public Library Program. In both my childhood and adulthood, I have cultivated experience through tutoring others in various subjects and in baby/pet sitting. I enjoy teaching of all kinds because knowledge is a delightful wonder of its own and if life has shown me anything it’s that no matter what one’s age is, learning is indeed a lifelong matter!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you be offering classes year-round?

We will have classes throughout the traditional school year calendar, from August to June.  If you are interested in a summer program, let’s talk about it and see if we might be able to create one together.

Would you be able to speak with my child’s teacher about particular areas they may need support?

Parent teacher conferences are great ways to help build a bridge between the learning that is happening at home and the learning that is happening in the classroom.  We would love to support in any way we can.

Do you offer tutoring on a one on one basis?

Yes, individualized support can help make a big difference for students.  While we will absolutely accommodate one on one tutoring, we do want to encourage families to maintain the class enrollment.  We firmly believe that students also learn from one another in supportive classroom environments.

What is Project Based Learning?

Students learn when they’re involved in their learning.  We strive to make sure that students are part of the creative process of their learning.  PBLs involve the student in multiple levels of learning, students work in several learning areas to complete fun yet challenging projects they will be proud of.
